Everything Orient does.

Projects

  • A project is a map of its own: phases, the milestones in each, and the work each milestone delivers.
  • Give each milestone a start and due date.
  • Attach tasks from an area to a project milestone; they show on the project and take its schedule.
  • On a project, the Board shows one column per milestone, with a card for each piece of work and how much of it is done; drag a card to move that work to another milestone.
  • On a project, the Roadmap draws phases and milestones on a timeline by week, quarter, year or custom range; drag a bar to reschedule.

Progress

  • Set how far a task is and every level above it shows the rolled-up progress.
  • Mark a task done with how it was verified and where to see it, a link, a build or a device, and read it on the task.
  • Mark a task blocked and say why.
  • See who is working on a task right now, people and agents alike.
  • Give a task attached to a project milestone several assignees, including your own agent.
  • Say what a task depends on; the roadmap draws the links.

Documents, diagrams and files

  • Write documents attached to your work, with text, to-dos, code, tables, images and diagrams, revision history, and Markdown or Word export.
  • Draw architecture diagrams attached to your work, with lines routed for you and PNG or SVG export.
  • Keep files in a workspace library and attach them to items.

The map

  • Plan your work as nodes on a map: ⌘↩ adds a child, ↩ adds a sibling, and you drag to rearrange.
  • Collapse an item and it shows how many items are inside.
  • Fold the whole map to a chosen depth.
  • Select several items and move them together.
  • Copy an item with everything under it and paste it elsewhere, with the same titles, types and notes.
  • Undo and redo your own changes on the map with ⌘Z and ⇧⌘Z.
  • Every change is saved as you make it; there is no save button.
  • Press ` to see the same plan as a 3D view.
  • On an iPad or a phone, pinch to zoom the map about your fingers and drag with two fingers to pan it; the rest of the page stays as it is.
  • Right-click an item to rename, add, copy or link it, and to set its progress and tags, plus its type, priority, assignees and due date where it has them.
  • Rebind the keyboard shortcuts in your profile.
  • Press Space to finish the selected task, and press it again to reopen it.
  • Set a priority from P1 to P5 on work attached to a project milestone; a focus area keeps its own, apart from the main map.
  • Tag work and filter the map by priority, assignee, tag or date range, or hide what is done.
  • Open one part of the map as a focus area, with its own folds and priorities.
  • Turn an item into an area that does not count towards your areas; it stays in your sidebar for as long as you keep its bookmark.
  • Arrange your areas in sidebar groups and folders.
  • Your areas live in your personal workspace, and each one opens as a map of its own in your sidebar.
  • Link an area, or one part of it, from another workspace into your plan, and open it there.
  • A linked area’s progress rolls up into your plan.
  • Search every map you can read, across your workspaces, by title and notes, from the search box or with ⌘K.

Working together

  • Everyone on a map sees changes live, with avatars for your agents and, on Pro, the people on it.
  • On Pro, share an area with people in your workspace and choose what each can do: only view it, work in it, or as an admin also change View only items.
  • On Pro, create an invite link that joins people as members, expires after 30 days and can require your approval; the person opening it signs in.
  • On Pro, share links work in a personal workspace too; the person who joins can do what the link allows.
  • Set any item to View only: everyone in its area can see it, and only you, the area’s admins and the people you add to the item can change it.
  • On Pro, make an item Private to keep it to the area’s owners and the people you add to it, or Confidential, which asks for your passkey, to keep it to you and the people you add.
  • On Pro, create shared workspaces for your teams.
  • On Pro, put the people in a workspace into groups, and see on one grid which areas each group can reach.

Plans

  • The Free plan gives you one area of your own in use at a time, up to 3 AI assistants on it and 50 MB for your files, with no card.
  • On Free, set any item to View only: the agents you gave the whole area still see it but cannot change it.
  • Only areas in use count: archive one and you can start another.
  • A project lives inside an area, with its own roadmap and board, and does not count towards your areas.
  • Your AI assistants get the access you pick for each area, and nothing until you approve them.
  • Buy Pro in the app, monthly or yearly, from Billing in your profile.
  • Pro costs $15.95 a month, or $12.95 a month billed yearly at $155.40.
  • Enterprise, for teams of 12 or more, is arranged with us rather than bought online: talk to us.

Your account

  • Sign in with a passkey; there are no passwords.
  • Lose your only device and the recovery code you saved gets you back in; no code opens anyone else's account.
  • Sign in on another device or browser with a one-time code from your profile; that device keeps its own passkey.
  • Add Orient to the Home Screen of your iPad or iPhone and it opens full screen under its own icon and name; you sign in there with your passkey.
  • Report a problem from the app with a screenshot and follow the replies there.
  • Set your time zone, country, week start and time format, and dates follow them.
  • A searchable manual inside the app.
  • Sign in with a code sent to your email; your account is created only once you confirm it.
  • A sign-in you never confirm leaves nothing behind: it is gone within the hour.
  • Sign-up and sign-in codes are rate limited; a caller that asks too often is told when to try again.

Your data

  • Export every map you can open as one zip: each map with its history, your documents and diagrams, and your workspaces' files.
  • Your export carries each map's change history, including who made each change.
  • Delete your account from your profile: it closes at once and nobody can reach it through Orient, and its content and your personal data are erased within 30 days.
