The canvas
A to-do list cannot show the structure of a real project. On the canvas, your goal sits at the center and the work spreads out from it, with progress updating automatically. However big it gets, you can still see all of it at once.

Plans are usually drawn as straight lines, but no real week goes in a straight line. A project in Orient has a roadmap you can zoom from years to weeks, and moving a milestone is one drag.

- No. Your work sits on a canvas as a map, every task tracks its own progress, and finishing one updates every level above it.
- Does it work for small personal things?
- Yes. Your areas live in your personal workspace, and the Free plan keeps one of them active with no card.
- How do teams use Orient?
- On one shared map. Create a team workspace on Pro and give people access to its areas: everyone on a map sees changes live, and any item can be set to View only or kept to the people you add to it.
- Can my AI work in Orient?
- Yes. An agent joins as a member with its own key, not as a plugin: nothing is granted until you approve it with your passkey, and it gets the access you pick for each area.
- What happens to my data?
- It stays yours. Export everything you can open as one zip at any time, with each map’s change history and who made each change.
